“Seriously? Who wants to play a text-based game in 2025?” Well, you, probably. Because the simple text format lets you have incredible adventures that are not possible with graphics.

What the World Portal is:

• A text roleplay focused on YOU entering a world of your choosing. You can lead conversations, choices, major world decisions. Give yourself unique abilities.
• Infinite scenarios; It uses AI to have characters respond to you.
• A focus on emotional aspects. The characters are designed to have heart.
• You can chat with Angel Expanse characters, or add in custom characters to adventure with. Pick another world if you want too.
• Includes a full-length book, “Angel Expanse: Frozen Annihilation”. Great source of inspiration. Enter the story yourself, change the timeline? Travel alongside the characters? All possible.
• Has built-in Angel Expanse characters like Angel Iris and Dawn the Catgirl. Great for exploring the world of Expanse.

What makes this AI tool good:

• There is no spyware in the official World Portal code. Many AI companies can look at your sessions, which is creepy. I don’t.
• Once set up, the World Portal doesn’t need Wi-Fi to run.
• Has a canvas for arranging pictures of characters you are talking with. Increases the immersion, and lets you arrange pictures for roleplaying.
• A comfort-focused interface. Great for deep sessions. Efficient and designed to reduce your fatigue. The AI can suggest some of your text, reducing the lift from users.
• Special features:
  • Skim Reading: Can condense huge amounts of text, like an entire chapter. Lets you get the main events with much less reading.
  • Complex Task: Lets the AI break up a huge task into many small manageable steps. Want it to think up a dungeon in a video game? Set it to think up a biome, unique puzzles, unique characters, enemies, and a boss. Have it think through all criteria with a button press (repeatable)

Technology Suggestions:

• You should only set this up on a PC. You will get poor results on a laptop.
• The power of your computer will heavily influence the speed and intelligence of the AI responses. Keep this in mind.
• Your VRAM (video memory) is most important. I recommend you have 8GB of VRAM or higher. (This is totally different than RAM!)
• The World Portal is designed for Windows and Linux. It is untested on Mac.
• This software depends on Kobold Cpp, which is free software. It is recommend you set up Kobold Cpp first and test that it can generate a decent response within 30 seconds.
• This purchase contains a full-length book, and other content. So keep in mind, no refunds will be given if you cannot get the AI features to work, or if it produces poor-quality results for you. So it is strongly recommended to test Kobold Cpp before buying the World Portal.
• You will need to obtain an AI model that is compatible with Kobold Cpp. The model is the “brains” of the AI, and the power of your computer determines what models you can run quickly. The version of Kobold in the instructions allows you to download models inside of it, but please do your own research to understand what you are downloading; Many of the models are known to produce NSFW outputs.
• The World Portal is designed for single personal use; It does not have the security for hosting for others, so please do not try that!
• The World Portal also requires you to download php, which is free software.

While it does take a bit of time to set up, the World Portal is well worth it. It lets you go on deep adventures in a carefully crafted fantasy world.
